May was exciting – I finished my freshman year of college & moved home for the summer, and a week later, I flew out to Portland, Oregon for a week. Two of my best friends from school, Andrew and Gillian, live in Portland, and Gillian’s family was generous enough to house and feed me for [...]
If you recognize these AWESOME faces, it’s because I shot their wedding a year ago in Somerset! Brent and Gaellissa were the first couple to hire me to shoot a wedding, and I’m so excited that they contacted me to shoot anniversary portraits for them! We picnicked in the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens until the rain [...]
I went out shopping in Manhattan after work one Friday night and ended up taking the F back toward school but decided to go all the way out to Coney Island instead. I missed the ocean – I just wanted to be next to it again, for a little while. Shot on my Canon EOS [...]

Fort Tryon Park is beautiful, and Madeline went to high school right down the street from the park :) It was a gorgeous spring day – I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in June! [...]
Late last summer, a few days before I left for college, I had the opportunity to second shoot Melissa and Tyler’s wedding with my awesome mentor, Andrei Jackamets! He’s graciously letting me share my portion of the shots here on my blog. :) [...]

But it’s spring, and I have prints upon prints to scan and negatives upon negatives to print and three rolls of color to send out for processing, and more sunlight with which to shoot. Once the semester ends I’ll be blogging like crazy, I’m sure. [...]
So I know it’s been a while since I updated my blog – things are kind of crazy between school and work, and I’m trying to keep up with everything as it is. (I’d rather be in the darkroom printing than sitting in front of a computer blogging anyway.) This is a series of self [...]
While I was at home over break, I shot Mike and Amanda’s maternity portraits! They’re expecting little Pippa in February and I couldn’t be more excited for them :) We even caught the beginning of the snow while we were shooting, while it was still pretty and before it all melted.
