washington, d.c. trip || cherry blossoms and monuments

A few weeks ago, my photo club council, our adviser and I road-tripped to Washington, D.C. in a Suburban, equipped with too many cameras and Honey Puffs. We went to attend Photoshop World 2012. These are photographs from the first day, before the conference began.

once we arrived in D.C. we parked at the conference center to get our badges and giant workbooks

so many choices

they spelled both my name and Emil’s name wrong on our nametags

from there, we met up with Ana, who was volunteering at the conference and graduated from my school two years ago!

we drove over to the National Mall to see the blossoms, and it took us at least an hour to find parking (and we accidentally ended up in Virginia…twice)

this was possibly one of my favorite parts of the whole trip, I can’t even begin to explain how content I felt with my feet in the cold water and my skirt all wet

so many Segways

I still have so many photos to share from the conference and the expo, and I’m releasing my new portfolio and website very soon! Stay tuned. :) I’m on spring break, so I’m trying to be crazy productive!

I love your blog so much! You’re such at ease with words, and your photos are amazing. It makes me so depressed that I live only three hours away from DC yet I’ve only been there twice… And never to the actual monuments… ): Can’t wait for the rest of your posts!
