deb

Hello hello!

Deb and I have been friends since freshman year, but especially since last year in my visual communications class. She and I went exploring yesterday in a couple of different locations close to me, and we certainly had an adventure :P

We actually came upon a blind baseball team practicing at the field we were shooting at. They weren’t practicing on the actual field but on the soccer field directly adjacent to us…and there was a camera crew filming. We didn’t realize at first that it was a blind team and just went on our merry way doing our thing with Deb in her full-on ballerina costume. Later, when we were shooting closer to the cars, someone walked by to leave and filled us in. Then we realized the beeping we kept hearing was actually coming from the ball! I guess for blind teams the ball makes noise for them to be able to locate it, which makes sense. It was really intriguing though. The things that I come across whilst on shoots, I swear.

Then we headed over to another favorite location: the same park, if you can believe it, where I shot the Newport Living editorial with Emily. Really ;) I would tell you which park it is, but I’m not sure if it has an official name. And I don’t want to share just yet. And I also get a little creeped out by everyone knowing exactly where I shoot…just in case.

And we’ll finish with my favorite from the day! We wandered down near the creek to get away from an awkward pair of staring boys that were in a spot I wanted to use, and Deb decided to wander underneath the bridge after I told her how much I love it. Sometimes the photos you don’t construct in your head beforehand are the best ones.

Deb, thank you so much for modeling for me. :)

Happy May, everyone!

love,

Caiti

you should try using a dancer but like, not in a dance outfit. or just a normal dress or something. especially in that awesome park. :)

Bah, I would love to! I think dancers sometimes have trouble moving in normal clothes though. And they do a lot of revealing things. :P I want to work with dancers a lot more over the summer though!

LOVE the ones in the sports settings! (dugout, basketball court, soccer goal). Something really cool about those :)
